Zac Martin

Zac is originally from Ottawa Canada, where he attended Algonquin College for Radio Broadcasting with the hope of one day being a sports reporter.  However, after having his eyes opened to the gospel in the summer of 1998, began a journey towards pastoral ministry that included serving at the Metropolitan Bible Church in Ottawa both volunteering and then coming on staff for three years.  It was there, where he met his wife Melanie and where they were married on August 25, 2000.  In 2003, Zac began a journey of pursuing Sovereign Grace Ministries which lead him to Souderton, PA where he served as an intern for one year.  It was Grace Community Church that then sent Zac and Mel and their first child to the Pastor’s College for the 2007-2008 school year. It was during that time that the Martin’s both felt a call to Brooklyn.  Upon graduation, on June 15th, 2008, Zac Martin became the new senior pastor of City Church.  Zac and Mel and their two daughters live in Park Slope and love the food co-op and Blue Sky Bakery. Zac has done seminary education and training at Heritage Theology Seminary, Gordon Conwell with the hope of pursuing education in the future in the city.
