We're Amazed by God's Love
One thing you’ll hear us talk a lot about at City Church is the Gospel. We just can’t help it! We are amazed at the love God has demonstrated for us through the death of Jesus Christ in our place. We had and have broken God's commands and lived in opposition of His design for us and because this, deserved punishment from God. But instead He showed us mercy as His Son took our place on the cross, taking our punishment and giving us new life. It is this great love that motivates and equips us to live for Him.
We’re aiming to build our lives on the Bible
We find our direction as a Church and as individuals in God’s Word. We believe the Holy Scriptures are inspired by God and that they are infallible. This is why solid, biblical preaching and teaching is such a priority for us. Our goal is to proclaim, submit to and help each other apply the amazing truths of the Bible
We’re seeking more of the Holy Spirit’s presence.
God has given us His very power in the person of Holy Spirit to strengthen, guide, convict and comfort us. Whether it’s at work or when we’re gathered as a church to worship God together, we want to experience his empowering presence, understanding our need for Him.
We’re committed to relationship
We are more than just a congregation and a Sunday meeting, we are a family that has been saved by grace and so we love to ‘do life’ together. We are learning everyday the value and necessity of the gift of brothers and sisters in Christ in helping us grow in our walk with God
We're passionate about displaying and proclaiming the gospel
The gospel is the power of God that changes people giving new hearts to help people love and live for God. With that in mind we are passionate about displaying this gospel through acts of kindness, mercy and compassion in our communities and speaking about Jesus who has changed us and in changing us daily.
