Equip

This meeting is set aside monthly for men pursuing ministry in the local church whether as deacons or elders.  The time is structured around three key components taken from Colin Marshall and Tony Payne's book, The Trellis and the Vine

  • Conviction - Their knowledge of God and understanding of the Bible
  • Character - The godly character and life that accords with sound doctrine
  • Competency - The ability to prayerfully speak God's Word to others in a variety of ways

Reading assignments and task are given monthly and ministry opportunities are provided in addition to this monthly meeting for the purpose of evaluation.  The church is also invited into the evaluation process both by way of observation of areas where growth is still needed and encouragement in areas where God is using these men to bless and care for those in the congregation.
