Community Groups

The Christian Life was never meant to be just ‘Jesus and me’, but ‘Jesus and we’ and so at City Church we seek to genuinely practice ‘doing life together’. We are called to encourage one another to love and good deeds (Heb 10.25), to carry one another’s burdens (Gal 6.2), and to exercise our spiritual gifts for the building up of the body of Christ, the church.

These groups are made up of 6-20 individuals and meet weekly, with the goal of helping each other learn more about and look more like and help point others to Jesus.  This involves a lot of fun and laughter and much talking & snacking, as well as prayer, Bible study, discussion, counsel and encouragement. These groups also provide opportunity to care for one another’s practical needs such as meals for a family with a newborn, or networking to help an individual locate a job or new accommodation.

Our groups meet both in homes and in public settings as we seek to invite people into our conversations and life together.
